Description
Running a North Spore Boomr Bin? This kit resets it between grows: a full set of Microppose peel-and-stick filter disks sized to the bin's 1" and 2" vent holes, plus a 3-pack of pre-cut liners. North Spore sells its filters and liners separately; here they come together in one order.
12 disks for the row of 1" lid holes, 6 disks for the 2" holes, and 3 large pre-cut liners. The same filter count North Spore ships with a new bin.
- 121.5" disks (1" holes)
- 62.5" disks (2" holes)
- 3Large liners
- 3MAdhesive backing
- ReusableWash & reapply
Two disk sizes, matched to the holes
12 × 1.5" and 6 × 2.5" disks
An adhesive filter needs a ring of contact around the opening to seal. The 1.5" disks give a full quarter inch of adhesive all the way around each 1" hole, and the 2.5" disks do the same over the 2" holes, so humidity stays in and airborne contaminants stay out.
- 1.5" disk covers a 1" hole
- 2.5" disk covers a 2" hole (up to 2.25")
- Full adhesive ring on every hole
North Spore calls its filters "1-inch" and "2-inch." That's the hole size, not the disk.
Their disks measure about 1.5" and 2.5" across, the same as these.
How to reset a Boomr Bin
Ten minutes between grows, with the bin cleaned and completely dry.
Peel the old filters, wipe any adhesive residue off with isopropyl alcohol and let the lid dry fully.
Center a 1.5" disk over each hole in the low row on the lid and smooth it down from the middle out.
Do the same with the 2.5" disks, pressing the whole adhesive ring flat against the plastic.
Unfold a liner into the base, press it into the corners, fold the excess over the rim and spawn as normal.
Adhesive won't grip a damp lid. If you just washed or sanitized the bin, give it time to dry completely before you stick the new disks down. That's the difference between a filter that lasts the whole grow and one that lifts at the edge in high humidity.

FAQ
Will these fit my North Spore Boomr Bin?
Yes. The 1.5" disks cover the row of 1" holes in the lid and the 2.5" disks cover the 2" holes. The kit has 12 small and 6 large disks, the same count North Spore includes with a new bin. The large liners are sized for 50–66 quart tubs, which covers the Boomr Bin's 22" × 15" footprint.
Why are the filters bigger than the holes?
The extra width is the adhesive ring that seals the disk to the lid. North Spore's "1-inch" and "2-inch" filters are named for the hole they cover; the disks themselves measure about 1.5" and 2.5", the same as these.
Do these fit the "Boomer Bin"?
If you mean North Spore's Boomr Bin, which is often spelled "Boomer Bin," yes. This kit is sized for that tub.
Is this a North Spore product?
No. This is a Microppose replacement kit, sold by Midwest Grow Kits and made to fit the Boomr Bin. Boomr Bin is a North Spore product name, used here only to describe compatibility. Neither Microppose nor Midwest Grow Kits is affiliated with or endorsed by North Spore.
Can I reuse the filter disks?
Yes. Peel the disk after the grow, clean it with 3% hydrogen peroxide while keeping the solution off the adhesive, and let it dry completely before sticking it back down. Grip softens a little each time a disk is moved, so press firmly onto a clean, dry lid.
Are the liners reusable?
Treat them as single-use. At the end of a run, gather the liner around the spent block and lift the whole thing out, then wipe the bin down. They arrive UV-C treated and factory folded, so there's nothing to sterilize before use.
Will they work on a tub that isn't a Boomr Bin?
Yes. The disks fit any tub drilled with 1" and 2" holes, and the liners fit our Grower's Select 66Q monotub and most 50–66 quart totes.
Compatibility note: Boomr Bin is a product of North Spore. Microppose and Midwest Grow Kits are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by North Spore. The name is used only to identify the tub these parts fit.
