The Grower's Select Large 66Q monotub is our biggest fruiting chamber — a heavy-wall 66-quart tub that ships with six 2.5" adhesive filter disks, six hole plugs and a custom pre-cut liner, ready to take two spawn bags and up to 10 lbs of bulk substrate.
This is the size for growers who want the most mushrooms per run. The wide, flat surface gives a big canopy, and the extra-thick walls mean you can lift a fully loaded tub without the bottom flexing and cracking the cake.

How to run it
- Line the tub. Fit the liner into a clean tub. It keeps substrate off the plastic, helps prevent side pinning, and makes cleanup a matter of lifting it out.
- Plug the holes and spawn. Insert the plugs, then mix two spawn bags or 3–4 quart jars of colonized grain into up to 10 lbs of pasteurized bulk substrate — roughly 1 part grain to 3 parts substrate. Level the surface.
- Colonize. Keep the lid on and the plugs in at room temperature until white mycelium covers the surface.
- Switch to fruiting. Pull the plugs so the filter disks can exchange air, give the tub indirect light, and keep the surface humid.
- Harvest and repeat. Pick each flush, rehydrate the cake, and run more flushes. When the tub is spent, pull the liner and wash the tub for the next grow.

Common questions
How much spawn and substrate does the 66Q take?
Two spawn bags or three to four 32 oz grain jars, mixed into up to 10 lbs of pasteurized bulk substrate. That works out to roughly 1 part grain to 3 parts substrate.
Do I need to drill anything?
No. The air exchange holes are pre-drilled, and the adhesive filter disks, hole plugs and liner are included. Peel, stick, line the tub and spawn.
What do the hole plugs do?
Keep the plugs in during colonization to hold in humidity and CO2, which mycelium likes. When the surface is fully colonized, pull the plugs so the filter disks can exchange fresh air and trigger pinning.
Is the tub reusable?
Yes. Pull the liner at the end of a grow, wash and disinfect the tub, then fit a fresh liner and filter disks for the next run. Replacement lids are sold separately.
Which size should I buy?
The 66Q is for the biggest harvests per run. If you are newer to bulk growing or short on space, the 44Q takes one spawn bag and 7.5 lbs of substrate; the 28Q takes a single jar or half a spawn bag.
