The XL 6 lb All-in-One mushroom grow bag gives you 2 lbs of sterilized 5-grain spawn over 4 lbs of Select Bulk Substrate in one self-supporting bag with a 0.22 micron filter patch and a self-healing injection port — the same inject-incubate-fruit workflow as our 4 lb bag, with more material for bigger flushes.
This XL bag was fruited in our Ecosphere grow tent with the top half of the bag removed.
The XL is for growers who want a bigger harvest without moving to a monotub yet. It fits the same small footprint, and like everything we bag it is pressure-sterilized in our own autoclave and shipped fresh.

How to grow in it
- Inoculate. Wipe the port with alcohol, then inject 5–7cc of spores or about 10cc of liquid culture into the grain section. Not sure how many syringes to buy? Use our syringe calculator.
- Incubate. Keep the bag around 72–76°F until the grain is about 75% colonized.
- Break and shake. Mix the colonized grain through the substrate, then let the bag finish colonizing — typically 10–14 days.
- Start fruiting. Give the bag indirect light, fresh air and humidity once it is fully colonized.
- Harvest. Open the top and mist the inside walls as needed, or transfer the cake to a larger fruiting setup.

The XL holds 6 lbs instead of 4 — 2 lbs of 5-grain spawn and 4 lbs of Select Bulk Substrate — so there is more material for larger flushes. The steps are the same.
