Made for Jars and Spawn Bags
Each label is printed on white BOPP film, a tough, water-resistant material that stands up to handling and humid grow spaces. The 2.5" size fits grain jars, grain spawn bags and all-in-one bags without covering your filter patch or injection port. The adhesive holds firmly and peels off spawn bag plastic and glass jars cleanly when you're done.
How to Use
- Sterilize your jar or bag first and let it cool. Apply labels after sterilization, never before.
- Pick a clean, dry spot away from the filter patch, injection port and heat seal, then press the label on firmly.
- Fill in the species or strain and the date inoculated. Let the ink dry for about a minute.
- Log your break and shake and the date the jar or bag is fully colonized.
- When the batch is done, wipe the label with an alcohol prep pad and start fresh, or peel it off and move it to your next jar or bag.
Tip: Adhesive bonds a little more firmly the longer a label sits. For the most reuses, leave the label in place and just wipe and rewrite it between batches.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I erase the labels?
Wipe the writing with one of the included 70% isopropyl alcohol prep pads and the label is ready to write on again. We tested ink that had dried for 24 hours and it wiped clean.
Can I put the label on before sterilizing?
No. Apply the label after your jar or bag has been sterilized and cooled. Pressure cooker heat and steam can loosen adhesive and damage the print.
Can I peel the label off a spawn bag?
Yes. The adhesive holds firmly on spawn bags but peels off the bag plastic cleanly when you're finished.
Can I use these on glass jars?
Yes. The labels stick well to glass jars and peel off clean glass easily. Adhesive bonds more firmly the longer it sits, so on jars that have been colonizing for weeks, the easiest option is to leave the label on and wipe and rewrite it between batches.
Do you have a bigger version for monotubs?
