Sterile 6mm agar punches cut clean, uniform plugs of agar and mycelium for transfers, cloning and culture isolation. Each punch comes individually wrapped and sterile, with a tempered stainless-steel blade and a plastic handle for a secure grip.
A round 6mm sample sits flat on fresh agar and grows out evenly in every direction, which makes it easier to compare cultures and pick the healthiest growth. Two punches per pack.

How to use it
- Work clean. Set up in front of a flow hood or in a still air box, and wipe down your plates and workspace with alcohol.
- Open the punch. Unwrap the sterile punch just before use.
- Take a plug. Press the punch into the agar at the edge of healthy, clean growth and lift out a 6mm plug.
- Transfer. Place the plug mycelium-side down on a fresh agar plate, grain or slant, then seal the dish.
- Clean for reuse. Wipe the punch thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol before the next use.
