Description
Description
The 4 lb All-in-One mushroom grow bag is the simplest bulk grow we sell: 1.75 lbs of sterilized milo, millet and rye grain and 2.25 lbs of CVG substrate in one self-supporting bag with a 0.22 micron filter patch and a self-healing injection port. Inject spores or liquid culture, incubate, break and shake, and fruit right in the bag.
No tub, no separate substrate prep, no mixing — the grain and bulk substrate are already in the bag, and every bag is pressure-sterilized in our own autoclave and shipped fresh. It is the easiest way to learn bulk growing with almost no equipment and very little space.

Why growers pick the 4 lb All-in-One
- Everything in one bag – Sterilized grain spawn and CVG bulk substrate share one bag, so there is nothing to mix or transfer.
- Easy first grow – Inject, incubate, break and shake, fruit — the least equipment-hungry way to run a bulk grow.
- Small footprint – A single bag fruits on a shelf or counter.
- Clean start – Pressure-sterilized in our own autoclave and shipped fresh.
- Room to grow – Fruit in the bag, or move the colonized cake into a monotub later.
What's in the bag
- 1.75 lbs sterilized milo, millet & rye grain
- 2.25 lbs CVG bulk substrate (coco coir, vermiculite & gypsum)
- Self-supporting grow bag with a 0.22 micron filter patch and a self-healing injection port
- Step-by-step printed instructions
How to grow in it
- Inoculate. Wipe the injection port with alcohol, then inject 4–5cc of spores or 5–10cc of liquid culture into the grain. Not sure how many syringes to buy? Use our syringe calculator.
- Incubate. Keep the bag at 72–76°F, out of direct light, until healthy mycelium is spreading through the grain.
- Break and shake. At roughly 50–75% colonization, break up the grain and mix it through the substrate to speed up full colonization.
- Start fruiting. Once fully colonized, give the bag indirect light and fresh air.
- Harvest. Open the top and mist the inside walls as needed to hold humidity. Harvest from the bag, or move the cake into a larger fruiting setup.

Faster startsLiquid culture usually colonizes faster than spores. Our QuickCulture Mini liquid culture jars turn a spore syringe into vigorous liquid culture before you inoculate your bag.
Common questions
What is an All-in-One grow bag?
A sterilized grow bag that holds grain spawn and bulk substrate together behind a filter patch. You inject spores or liquid culture, let the grain colonize, mix it into the substrate, and fruit in the same bag — no tub or separate substrate prep.
What is in the 4 lb bag?
1.75 lbs of sterilized milo, millet and rye grain and 2.25 lbs of CVG substrate (coco coir, vermiculite and gypsum), in a self-supporting bag with a 0.22 micron filter patch and a self-healing injection port.
How much spore solution or liquid culture should I use?
Inject 4–5cc of spores or 5–10cc of liquid culture through the injection port. Liquid culture generally colonizes faster than spores.
When should I break and shake?
When the grain is roughly 50–75% colonized. Breaking up the colonized grain and mixing it through the substrate spreads the mycelium and shortens the time to full colonization.
Should I get the 4 lb or the XL 6 lb bag?
The 4 lb bag is the easiest start and fits the smallest space. The XL 6 lb bag uses the same steps with more grain and substrate for bigger flushes.
