The Tabletop Ecosphere™ is a fully automated mushroom fruiting chamber that fits on a countertop. A 3L ultrasonic Monsoon humidifier runs from a pre-calibrated digital humidity controller, and a carbon-filtered, positive-pressure fan handles fresh air on a timer — so you get the high humidity and clean air exchange gourmet mushrooms need without misting by hand.
The chamber is 83 quarts of ultra-clear 10 mil vinyl with heavy-duty reinforced zippers on the top and side, so you can watch every pin form and reach in without disturbing the whole grow. It holds up to four 5 lb fruiting blocks, or a mix of trays, small tubs, and bags.

How it works
The short versionThe humidity controller keeps moisture high, the timed fan brings in filtered fresh air, and the clear vinyl lets in room light. You set it once and it runs the same cycle every day.
- Set up the chamber. Unfold the vinyl chamber on a table or counter out of direct sun.
- Mount the fan and filter disks. Fit the 60mm fan and carbon filter into its bracket and apply the two filter disks as shown in the guide.
- Connect the humidifier. Attach the quick-connect hose, plug the Monsoon humidifier into the digital humidity controller, and set your target humidity.
- Program the timer. Plug the fan into the 24-hour timer and set your fresh-air schedule.
- Load your grows. Mount the thermometer/hygrometer, place your blocks, trays or tubs inside, and zip it closed.
Room temperature, not heated: the Tabletop Ecosphere controls humidity and fresh air but does not heat. Put it in a room that stays in a comfortable fruiting range for your species, away from windows, heat vents, and direct sunlight.

What fits inside the Tabletop Ecosphere?

How automated is it?
Humidity is fully automatic: the Monsoon humidifier plugs into the pre-calibrated digital humidity controller, which switches it on when humidity drops below your setting and off when it is reached. The positive-pressure fan runs on the 24-hour programmable timer for scheduled fresh air exchange. Your job is refilling the humidifier's 3L tank and checking the thermometer/hygrometer.
Does it include a heater or a grow light?
No. The chamber runs at your room temperature, so place it somewhere that stays in a good fruiting range for your species — most common gourmet mushrooms are comfortable in normal indoor temperatures. The clear 10 mil vinyl lets ambient room light in, which is enough for most fruiting blocks; in a dark room, a small LED light can run on the included timer instead of the fan.
Why a positive-pressure fan with a carbon filter?
Mushrooms exhale CO2 and need fresh air to form proper caps. The 60mm fan pushes filtered room air into the chamber, so stale air exits through the filter disks rather than unfiltered air leaking in. Running it on a timer gives regular air exchange without constantly drying out the chamber, and the humidity controller tops moisture back up after each cycle.
What can I grow in it?
Gourmet and functional species that fruit at room temperature — lion's mane, oysters, shiitake, chestnut, pioppino, reishi and more. The simplest start is a few of our pre-colonized gourmet grow kits; experienced growers also use it for trays of bulk substrate colonized with grain spawn.
How is it different from the full Mushroom Ecosphere 3.0?
The Tabletop Ecosphere is a single countertop chamber with automatic humidity control and filtered fresh air. The Mushroom Ecosphere 3.0 is a 4- or 5-tier greenhouse with 17.7–22.5 cubic feet of space, its own infrared heater and thermostat, and COB LED lighting — built for running many projects at once. Choose the Tabletop for a few blocks at a time; choose the Ecosphere 3.0 to scale up.
