Description
A 66Q tub is the one where hand-cut trash bag liners fall apart — too much wall to cover, too many corners to gather. These are cut to 24" × 15.5" for the 66Q footprint, factory folded and UV-C sterilized. Drop it in, press the corners, fold over the rim, load 10 lbs of substrate on top of it.

What a liner actually does for the grow
- Cuts side pinning — blocks light along the walls, and a 66Q has a lot of wall for pins to find.
- Better edge microclimate — the liner collapses inward with the cake as it shrinks, keeping the wall gap closed instead of opening a dry channel down the long sides.
- Substrate never touches the tub — no staining, no scraping dried casing out of a big tub.
- Cleanup is a lift — gather the liner around the spent block and lift the whole thing out in one go.

How to install
- Unfold the liner and lay it into the empty tub.
- Press into the base and corners so it sits flat — on a tub this size, work the long sides down before the ends.
- Fold the excess over the rim and let the lid hold it.
- Spawn as normal — colonized grain and bulk substrate go straight onto the liner.
- Lift it out after harvest with the spent block inside and wipe the tub down.
Match the liner to the tub. Liners are size-specific. Oversized bunches at the corners and traps water; undersized leaves bare wall where side pins push straight through the gap.

Frequently asked questions
Will these fit a tub that isn't a Grower's Select or Microppose?
Most 50–66 quart clear totes work. Measure the inside base before ordering — if your tub is closer to 44Q, the medium liner is the right size.
Do liners really reduce side pinning?
They help, because side pins are largely a light response along the tub wall and the liner blocks that light. They aren't a complete fix on their own — spawn depth and keeping the tub out of direct light matter just as much.
Do I need to sterilize the liner before use?
No. Each liner is UV-C treated before packaging and arrives factory folded. Handle it with clean hands, unfold it into the tub and spawn as normal.
Are they reusable?
Most growers treat them as single-use and lift the liner out with the spent block at the end of a run — that's where the cleanup savings come from. They're cheap enough that reusing one isn't worth the contamination risk.
How much spawn and substrate does a 66Q tub take?
Two spawn bags, about 5 lbs of colonized grain, to roughly 10 lbs of bulk substrate — close to a 1:3 grain-to-substrate ratio. The liner doesn't change any of that.
