A sterilized bag of Master's Mix is a nutrient-rich, fully sterilized substrate made from hardwood sawdust and soy hulls, designed to be inoculated directly with colonized grain spawn in a sterile environment. Unlike Coir based bulk substrate like our Select Bulk Casing, which are used in non-sterile conditions as a mix in a tub or top casing layer, Master's Mix is not meant to be exposed to open air or mixed in unsterile tubs. Doing so increases the risk of contamination and defeats the purpose of sterilization. Instead, add your grain spawn directly into the sealed bag using a sterile technique, allow full colonization, and then fruit the mushrooms by cutting open the bag or transferring the colonized block to a clean fruiting chamber.

These little jars were great for turning spores into ready to use mycelium culture. I could see the spores germinating with in 4 days after I added spores. I can’t wait to use the mycelium when it’s ready!

I was needing something with amuch smaller footprint the bigger tubs were getting in the way a lot. The only gripe I ever have is that the Midwest growkit systems always come with these weird detachable handles that look like something that a dog would like to chew up, or would be easy to misplace... Other than that love you guys, last month I got the Spore culture bottles 30 ml and expanded my pleurotus eryngii culture

New to Research, heard complaints of other Company's all-in-one bags getting Contaminated, many recommended Midwest. I know my process wasn't perfect and your bag made it to fruiting. Maxing out Strain size and shape, matching strain descripton and color. Ordered 5 more bags and 2 heating mats.
Ive ordered upwards of 50 bags of this substrate and only had 1 issue so its safe to say this is a quality product every bag has usherd in a succesful flush of my favorit strains so buy it
