Description

Premium 5-Grain Spawn Bags (2-Pack)

Fast Colonization • High Performance • Built for Bulk Grows

Our Premium 5-Grain Mushroom Spawn Bags have been a customer favorite for over a decade because they deliver the best of both worlds: speed (more inoculation points) and long-term performance (balanced nutrition for multiple flushes). Each bag contains our proprietary blend of five grains, fortified hydration, and a mineral-rich Calcium+ mix—professionally sterilized, sealed, and ready for effortless inoculation.

Whether you’re running a single monotub or scaling up your bulk grow routine, these grain spawn bags are designed for consistent, vigorous mycelium growth with excellent yield potential.

How to Inoculate & Colonize 5-Grain Spawn Bags

These 5-grain spawn bags are designed for simple, contamination-resistant inoculation using liquid culture or spore syringes. Each bag includes a self-healing injection port and a 0.22-micron filter patch to support proper gas exchange during colonization.

After inoculation, incubate in a clean, warm environment and allow the mycelium to fully colonize the grain blend. Once you see dense, uniform white growth throughout the bag, your spawn is ready for fruiting prep or transfer to bulk substrate.

Breaking Up Spawn & Mixing into Bulk Substrate

One of the biggest advantages of a multi-grain blend is how evenly it distributes through substrate. Once fully colonized, break up the spawn and mix into bulk substrate such as coco coir blends, manure-based substrates, or other bulk grow mixes for monotubs and grow bins.

The varied grain sizes help create more colonization points throughout the substrate—often resulting in faster substrate takeover, more uniform pin sets, and improved canopy potential.

What’s Included

  • 2 × 5-Grain Spawn Bags (2.25–2.5 lbs each, ~2 quarts)
  • 10T 3mm polypropylene bags with 0.22-micron filter patch
  • High-temp self-healing injection port for easy spore or culture inoculation
  • Step-by-step photo grow guide + advanced bulk grow instructions

What Makes Our 5-Grain Mix Work Better

Our proprietary blend starts with rye berries and is enhanced with a curated combination of grains such as red sorghum, white sorghum, millet, and complementary grains selected to improve speed, distribution, and nutrient balance.

  • Maximum surface area – more inoculation points can mean faster colonization
  • Balanced nutrient profile – supports vigorous growth and strong multi-flush performance
  • Low clumping / better break-up – grains are soaked, simmered, and dried to reduce sticking
  • Fortified hydration – blended RO + mineral water, gypsum, Calcium+, and DAP to support balanced pH and nutrient availability

Sterility & Quality Control

Every batch is produced for consistency and reliability. Each run (up to 600 bags) is autoclaved at 18 PSI for 180 minutes to ensure thorough sterilization while reducing handling variables. Bags are sealed, inspected, and packed to arrive clean and ready to use.

For best results, inject 5-7 cc of liquid culture or spores through the injection port, then incubate until fully colonized. Once colonized, break up and transfer to bulk substrate for high-yield monotub grows.

Performance Highlights

  • 10+ years of proven grower success
  • Fast colonization and strong, even mycelium spread
  • Excellent bulk performance for monotubs and grow bins
  • Compatible with a wide range of gourmet and research strains
  • Great for beginners while still preferred by bulk growers

Pro Tips for Faster Colonization

  • After inoculation, keep the bag warm ( 72-76 Degrees) and undisturbed until you see clear mycelium growth.
  • Once colonization begins, 25-30% colonized, gently mix or massage the grains (when appropriate) to speed up spread.
  • Use clean technique when inoculating—wipe the injection port, use a sterile needle, and minimize exposure.
  • For bulk grows, fully colonized grain spawn typically performs best when mixed evenly throughout your substrate.
