The Monster Monsoon Ecosphere Spawn & Casing Package 3.0 is our biggest all-in-one bulk mushroom growing system: the 5-tier, climate-controlled Mushroom Ecosphere 3.0 grow tent loaded with enough grain spawn, casing mix, and trays to fill it. It is built for growers who want the most mushrooms possible per square foot of floor space.
Bulk growing needs steady heat and a lot of humidity, and a setup this size is more than a space heater and a spray bottle can manage. The Monster Monsoon's climate control system and 3L Monsoon humidifier combine convection, infrared heat, and dense ultrasonic fog to heat and humidify all five tiers evenly — no hot spots, no dry corners. The system went through more than nine months of prototyping and testing before it reached production.

How a Monster Monsoon run comes together
- Set up the Ecosphere. Assemble the 5-tier frame without tools, lay the drip liner, place the climate control unit on the bottom rack, and set your temperature on the digital thermostat.
- Program the timers. One timer runs the LED lighting, the other runs the Monsoon humidifier.
- Inoculate and colonize the grain. Inoculate the spawn bags or jars with your culture and let them colonize fully inside the warm tent.
- Load the trays. Break up the colonized grain and combine it with the casing mix in the aluminum trays, following the bulk guide included with your order.
- Fruit all five tiers. Slide the trays onto the shelves and let the climate system, humidifier and lights run the daily cycle while the trays pin and fruit.
Hand-built and electrician-tested: every Ecosphere climate control unit is hand-built and tested by a licensed electrician to deliver safe, even heating with no hot spots or humidity gaps.
How the climate control system works
Heat rises from the unit on the bottom rack, the brushless fan circulates it through all five tiers, and the digital thermostat switches the 200W infrared element on and off to hold your set point around the clock. The Monsoon humidifier fills the tent with fine fog on its own timer, and the lava rock tray helps spread moisture evenly.

Worth addingBulk trays on five shelves use a lot of oxygen. The Fresh Air Amplifier fan unit adds an adjustable-speed fan and washable filter vent for real fresh air exchange, and a digital humidity controller runs the Monsoon humidifier by actual humidity reading instead of by the clock. What is included in the Monster Monsoon Package?

Should I choose the spawn bag or the grain jar version?
Both versions use the same 5-grain blend. Spawn bags inoculate through a self-healing injection port and break up easily when you load trays. Rigid 32 oz jars are easy to shake and check during colonization. Choose whichever format you are more comfortable working with.
Is a mushroom culture included?
No. The grain spawn and jars arrive sterilized and ready to inoculate, so you choose the species. Add a culture of your choice — our liquid culture syringes are the easiest place to start.
How many casing trays can the Monster Monsoon run at once?
The package ships with eight aluminum trays, which fit two per shelf. Our maximum recommendation for the 5-tier is about seven large casing trays (roughly 35 lbs of casing), 96 jars, or 20 spawn bags. The bottom rack is reserved for the climate control unit.
Can I add a sixth tier?
Yes. A 5th/6th tier attic shelf (sold separately) adds more space at the top of the tent, handy for incubating while the lower shelves are fruiting.
How is this different from the Essentials Package?
The Essentials Substrate Package is a starter bundle, available in 4 or 5 tiers, with a small set of jars, two spawn bags and 10 lbs of casing mix for trying both methods. The Monster Monsoon is 5-tier only and is built for volume, with three times the casing mix, four times the spawn bags, and eight casing trays.
Can the Ecosphere cool the tent, or only heat it?
It only heats. The digital thermostat cycles the 200W infrared element to hold whatever temperature you set, so set it a few degrees above your room temperature and place the Ecosphere in a room that stays below your target. If your room runs hotter than your target, the climate system can't bring it down.
