It’s THE perfect sized flow hood for any beginning to intermediate mycologist ! For the price , your not going to find this quality any where else . After all my research , this was the best option on the market and I’ve used it successfully every time it’s been used. Contamination free , every time .

I love this little flowhood! Perfect for my needs! Thee most Reasonably priced and 100% efficient flowhood on the market. I searched for and researched flowhoods for months before purchasing. Thanks Midwest growkits and Bonsai!

EXCELLENT PRODUCT, 100% WORTH PRICE

Rating:
Pros:
  • quality product
  • worth value
  • replaceable parts
  • suitable for beginners
  • easy to clean
  • quiet
Cons:
This laminar flow hood works perfectly, it is more than ideal for a beginner mycologist with a small work space. The quality of this product makes it very much worth the price! So far I have successfully used this with my grain transfers, LC/spore inoculations and also working with agar plates, with 0 contamination rate. The noise level is also surprisingly low, ear protection is not needed. I didn't get to order the reduced price spare filter with it as it was out of stock when I ordered but expecting the one it came with to last a long time! The only thing I ask from midwest grow kits is to make and sell a bigger model! Please!

First trial success!

I have been looking for a flow-hood for a month now trying to not break my bank and spend $500 or more. I have seen plenty of videos on how to make my own, but I dont have the power tools and time to deal with the headache of trying to cut all this lumber up. I have been plagued with mold in my still air box and really want to get into agar and cloning. I was slightly worried that this size would be too small to do all the stuff I wanted but actually there is plenty of room! In reality you are only working with a few things at once and all that extra space is honestly not needed. I'm super happy with my first trial and the best part is I am finally MOLD FREE!!

  • Well worth the money for n e experience
Cons:
  • Nothing
It's just the perfect size for my needs n my work space. Well crafted n built. Without this I was losing a lot of inoculated grains due to contamination. This flow hood has save me so much money now that I can have the proper tools to get the job done. I have been recommending it to all of my mycology friends. Job well done midwestgrowkits
