I ordered this UV light at the suggestion of the grow instructions I received. This is my first time inoculating jars and I had no mold growth in my mycelium. I am super happy about that fact. Now whether the light was the reason I'm not sure but its worth the cost to have the extra layer of protection. It can also be used to sanitize surfaces and everyday items like face masks.

The wand helps me in both my innoculation process and while cultivating my grow. It is definitely worth the purchase as it reassures that any bacteria or contamination present is destroyed before it can ruin all the time and effort I put into cultivating my mushrooms. I use it just about every time I work when absolute sterilization is required. A great investment.

I used the light during the inoculation process. Everything grew with no contamination, exactly what I wanted. The price was reasonable, too.
