The shipping and packaging great, but no instructions about the tape filter, do i have to remove the white tape? I'm new to the mushrooms world, thanks

It arrived within a week of ordering followed the instructions for injections within 2 days I saw some white cake growing and it's still growing, only negative is the injection port gets narrow at the bottom and I didn't notice and ended up bending my needle but i managed to get it in and it's all good now.
